Memorial
We dedicate this page to the following club members and team dogs that have past away. They will always be in our hearts and memories.

Pictured here with his dog Callie, Jim was a beloved friend and teammate that will forever be in our hearts. Tragically he was taken before his time. May he rest in peace.

Jim also owned Kael and Pixie pictured below. Kael moved on to the W.O.O.F. flyball team and is still active. His other dogs Callie and Pixie have retired from flyball.

Shetland Sheepdog - Christine & Richard Sells

Linden Halli 01
Nicknamed: The Dentist or Treat Shark
 D.O.B. - 10/26/01  and deceased in 2006

Halli grew up playing with her Border Collie sister Ripli. She loved to hang from Ripli's ear or bite her tail in order to get her ball. She was a very inquisitive sheltie and her nose constantly got her in trouble. Halli started flyball training in Nov. 2003 and after a year decided it was better to stay home with Dad. She was a slow maturing dog and she had started back in flyball training when we lost her. Bless her little heart. We will miss you !!!!

Border Collie - June Sager

Corky was a rescue that came to live with June at the age of 10 months. For a dog that did not know what a ball was for, much less know her own name, she grew and came into her own under June's care. Within 6 months, she already had the first of many obedience titles and went on to perform in herding and flyball. At the age of twelve, she was retired from the flyball lanes, but even at the age of fourteen was still able to hike the mountains of North Carolina with her mom. Corky lived her fifteen years to the fullest and is missed everyday.

Border Collie - June Sager

We lost Lark at age eleven. She had retired to playing frisbee in the backyard of her owner June Sager after an eight year career in flyball. She earned her Onyx Award in 2005 and ran on occasion after that. Before flyball Lark had an occupation of sheep herder. She achieved "High in Trial at her first herding trial and  earned the title of American Herding Breeds I.
She will be dearly missed.

Boxer - Kenya & Curtis Gutzmer

Naiya was rescued at 3 months old from a parking lot. She started her flyball training at that time and was a natural from the word go. In her first practice she would pick up a ball from the box and carry it down the lane.
Traggically at just 4 months old she was suddenly strickened by Kidney failure and died. We will miss her dearly.

Rottweiler - Jackie Kurzban

Targon's Machine Gun Kelly - DOB: 8/4/01

Kelly was our second flyball dog that learned by watching Hailey. She hated the conformation show ring but fell in love with agility and flyball. "Where is the ball?" is her logo! She moves slow and looks tired all the time, but when it's showtime, Super Dog comes out. Kelly is also a star in the upcoming movie, Marley and Me.

In 2008 Kelly was diagnosed with Cancer and received several chemo treatments in an effort to save her life. After a long battle, we lost her and we miss her dearly. She excelled in the show ring, the flyball lanes, and on the big screen. May she rest in peace.

Harli has been nicknamed the Mouth of the South and Harli Snarli. Born in 1998, she was the first dog awarded Height Dog with a Heart. Harli started training at age 2 1/2 and earned her first points in the great sport of flyball at age 3. Nobody thought this shy, scared of everything, little girl would ever play the game. At first she didn't even like tennis balls. With a lot of patience, love, training and the help of teammates she learned to love the game. She always barks up a storm to tell her teammates to get out of her way. Now at age 10 she has stepped aside to let our other height dogs have a chance to shine. Harli has always amazed me with her attitude, stamina and heart.
